Welcome to Plantation Farms South. We are located 11 miles north of Keystone Heights and 20 miles south of Middleburg off County Road 315C. To the East is Belmore State Forest which covers 8,737 acres. Just south of 315C off Hwy 21 there is Gold Head State Park, a 2,000-acre facility which offers many outdoor activities. To the west is Camp Blanding, a 112 square mile training facility for the Florida National Guard.

Plantation Farms South is a quiet country community where you will rarely hear a passing emergency vehicle or even a jet soaring above in the sky. If you enjoy star gazing or watching for shooting stars, you have selected the right place to live. If you want a garden to grow your own vegetables and melons, again you have selected the right place to live. Many of our neighbors have horses and ride them on our roads. Wildlife is abundant. You will see deer, raccoons, gray fox, opossums, rabbits, armadillos, gopher tortoise, pocket tortoise, box turtles, turkey, Sherman's fox squirrels, gray squirrels, red-shouldered hawks, red tailed hawks, and occasionally you may get a glance at a soaring bald eagle or a Florida panther or even a Florida black bear. Don't be surprised if you see an American alligator crossing a road searching for a new pond to explore.

Clay County picks up recycle materials on Mondays and refuse on Tuesday. Curb side pickup only. The Clay County School buses travel only Trawick Road to Bondarenko Road intersection. The supporting law enforcement is Clay County Sheriff's Office (352-473-7211). The fire department is located approximately two and half miles south on 315c. Response time for an emergency is excellent. Our electricity service is supported by Clay Electric.

The county does not maintain our roads, so we maintain our roads ourselves. We do have a road association board made up of all volunteers. There is a $100.00 annual road due and assessment fee billed to each lot. All monies collected goes to maintain our roads, insurance, and electric bill for street lights.

There is an Annual meeting held last Saturday of August and we will announce where it is to be held at.
